A whole series of online learning sessions on best practices in the field of Rural Development through tourism, are planned for the participating students that are working on creating an innovative sustainable solution of the challenge set in the National UNWTO Students’ League-Switzerland, delivered by top national and international experts.

This Friday 14 October, the 1st session has served for two purposes: to Welcome the students who have just started work on their Challenge “Off the beaten Track” and an insight from Sandra Carvao, Head of the Tourism Market Intelligence and Competitiveness programme at UNWTO on World Tourism Tendencies and UNWTO’s work in Rural Development as well as some deeper knowledge on the Swiss Federal Government Tourism Policy from Christoph Schlumpf, Head of the national tourism innovation program at the Swiss Secretariat of State for Economic Affairs-SECO.
